Good game so far. My lil sis and I love it, but there's a bug (it's really a bug, right?) that we currently having that when we play the puzzle, after we hit Next, it didn't show new ones but repeat the one we just solved over and over.

Update 04/26: Yes! The app works now with the ChessKid username and password. Thank you! App doesn't recognize my ChessKid account. Whether I type in or copy and paste, it says it's wrong. This is the account used daily by my son.

I downloaded this app for my kid but I ended up playing it! Puzzles are fun and I learned few new tricks. I would recommend it!

This attempt to combine chess with a dungeoun crawler RPG is a complete flop. They are teaching chess in the wrong way and moves are complete failures if you don't do it properly. For example you have to checkmate using a rook and a rook only, not a queen. This is a fixed way of playing the game and it needs to be stopped

Extremely disappointing! I don't see how my 6 year old could enjoy this. Chesskid fails again to provide a website or app that is fun and engaging to the Pre-K and Kindergarten demographic.

Nice concept! For play Vs kid, there should be a rating to track progress (to pair up against more even opponents too). Playing just to win "gold coins" doesn't make sense if improvement is the goal. Not a fan of using gold to unlock instructive content. Perhaps the gold can be used for customizing the avatar? Could be frustrating for a kid that already knows the moves having to play through the first lessons.

Some of the reviews here are surprisingly critical. As far as I can tell this is a really well put together app. It introduces the basics of play through a series of puzzles which build knowledge nicely from the total beginner level. To me they feel like the puzzles which more advanced players use, but aimed at beginners, so the same process of learning to recognise patterns happens. The theme is perfectly suited to under 10s, but the actual play is a good way for adults to learn too.

Abandoned game. It started as a good idea for kids to star playing chess but it's so abandoned that you can only play the 6 adventures they offer you and few bosses. If you want to play further you have to pay some gold membership. But cmon last update was more than a year ago and you still want to get paid for this? At least make it free so can be enoyable. Nothing to say about the online. Several times tried for minutes for nothing. The only good side is the nice visual work and fantasy bosses

Charged me in full even the website says special offer price. I reported account issue for more than 6 months, they only replied their developers busy on solving a lot of bugs, I need to wait. Now we upgraded a new android pad and can't log in my paid account which means we can't use the app in the new pad. Very disappointed. I contacted you by email since the problem happened first day, but got reply says I have to wait becuase developers are all busy. Check my email address for records.

Wow ! What a chess app for kids. My 5 yr old loves it. What a way to learn. The quests are great (more please), and there are so many bosses all at a great level for beginner kids. Many other apps are way to hard for kids but not this one. He can fight zombies and mud monsters all day and have a chance to win. Well done team, great job !

Game Is very smooth, nice graphics, nice music, everything is PERFECT,,, I'm facing problems of internet connection,,, I've noticed that application loses the network connection very often,,, I've noticed this over 5 times today, and because of that I lost few games,,, one more thing, my internet network is strong and no other app loses network connection like this app,,, So don't you tell me that my internet connection is having problems, it is your game that lost connection several times,,,

Game is buggy and won't save progress. The tutorial would load the same rewards page about 6 times. Now it won't save any progress. Every time I open the app again, I'm bag at the beginning. Worse, any quests you have paid to unlock are locked again.

A very well structured app for children who are trying to pick up chess. It comes with good tutorials and puzzles to built the foundation. The child can play against the computer at different levels. Using this app with guidance from the parents or an instructor is beneficial for child. The cute and beautiful graphics makes this app engaging.

I wish the adventure section was more than just teaching basic skills. Some of the tests involve questionable moves and a number of opponents will simply throw a game away. Not sure that is the best way to teach.

It's a nice game so far, but it appears that one of the puzzles thinks that the "correct answer" involves moving a pinned piece? (Edited) When you find a very similar puzzle that includes the same mistake and you notice that Bumble and Goob's information are swapped ????? Great game, lots of fun. I'd give it 5 stars if I could win more than 20 coins per game. It get aggravating when you get past the 500 Bosses. Takes forever to build up enough to play the next boss.

You guys are awesome. I love the endeavors you branch out into to make chess more accessible to everyone. You are really reinventing the game and bringing it into the 22nd century. Have a 5 year old daughter and this tool will be a great help!

Overall good development , teaching main topics in fun way , some problem are - chessset changes after first quests , IT MUST NOT BE , it should be visible, some puzzles have multiple answers but not working.
