I'm raising my review in anticipation of an update that will fix my biggest complaint. We will not be forced to play the worst game mode in any game ever made (RTA). Also, it seems as though the Dev finally understands that we play this game because we like Marvel characters, not their weird over powered non-marvel things. I still can't give it five stars yet, because every update has crazy bugs. Hopefully, they don't mess the game up again by failing to listen to the players. As usual.

Although its a fun game the offers are ridiculous. £45 or more for character shards and you still won't be able to use this character until you get enough shards to unlock them. Another issue that comes along with this is pay to win. Lots of people spend a lot of money making it fairly hard for a free to play person to keep up. That being said you can keep up if you're active. It would be nice to see the game's offers go cheaper for those that don't have lots of money to burn.

The game started off great, but there have been too many issues lately that warrant a 1* rating. The amount of bugs this game has is crazy, and the bugs tend to Fave those willing to spend tons of money. Plus, there are too many bottlenecks in this game, especially a red star system that is upgraded almost purely by chance.. Update, 8/27/2021, the game is improving. Some of the bottlenecks are easing up. Still needs some improvement, especially with the amount of time needed for daily milestone

If there was a negative rating, that's what this game would be. Not because of visuals, this game is absolutely stunning. Because of the developers. The greed and predatory behavior Scopely demonstrates is killing this game. My only wish is that I never started playing this game. I've always just stayed in the game because of my alliance. Its reaching point where that doesn't matter. Warning: parents or someone struggling with gambling addiction - do not touch this game.

Sadly, I can't say I love MSF like I used to. Since Scopely has taken over, it has become less and less fun to play. Now this game is for gamers with lots (and I mean lots and lots) of money to spend. Don't expect to be able to compete unless you have hundreds to continually give. Every time they put out a few new characters (which is Way too often), the last new team is obsolete. These new teams are unbeatable, have completely ruined the game. NO way to rank them up w/o shelling out hella $$$$

The game developers are changing text of characters after release, making mistakes and promising compensation that never shows. Endless... No Boundless promises, never fulfilled!! I have been playing the game for 2 years now. I love Marvel and hope the game continues. Unfortunately they are expecting people to spend more a month on a mobile game than is reasonable to keep up. I mean come on... 2 BATTLE PASSES!! $20 each and no way to combine them for a discount! I do not begrudge them wanting to make money, but 8 of the last 10 characters released had some wrongly written power, unexpected interactions, or things just missing from them when released. How can this game continue like this. At what point is this lying and fraud??

Game is grindy, but tells an interesting story. If the game didn't have so many micro-transaction pop ups it would of got 5 stars. --UPDATE-- Power creep has hit this game bad. The "original character" Kestrel is extremely overpowered. Now each team they release/rework is a counter to another team but way too overpowered. This game really caters to "whale" players now. If you want to be competitive, you have to spend money, which sucks. The game is now moving to 3 stars, but is close to 2.

It's very fun and a deep grind, I just like honestly the character collection and a little bit of the work you have to put into it if you don't wanna spend money. Myself personally i don't sink momney into a game unless i really like it and this is one of those games. I put quite more then a few hours into it and the story is decent.

I loved this game in the beginning, nice graphics, gameplay and story line. But lately, especially when Scopely toom over, it went downhill. They put out new characters very quickly for players to buy without testing them extensively and when the characters come out with bugs, instead of fixing them, they just change the text to show what the characters do in game. Devs are too lazy and too money hungry to care.

It's totally frustrating having invested much time in it, but it crashes so frequently and fail to record victories that it is no longer entertaining. You'll spend much time waiting for it to load, and it crashes again... It was great more than a year ago, but getting so much worse over time... My previous review was then.. Game is engaging but Still crashing so frequently, Internet connection required messages at server end. Getting highly frustrating.

This game has gone from a 4*, to a 2* for me. Been playing a couple years now, and it went from a passably balanced fun game that I could throw a few bucks at but not worry about paying... to a completely broken, HORRIBLY UNBALANCED P2W game. It's gotten to the point that if you don't have a few thousand dollars to drop. Don't bother, and the devs don't care

I would down grade to zero stars but I can't. Very unbalanced game designed for big spenders only. I just fought 5 fights and didn't even get a turn. Just a waste of time and money. Even the non pvp part of the game is near impossible without spending lots of money. Very disappointed and with the amount of bugs they aren't interested in fixing unless it effects there income, which get fixed immediately.

The game is fun, but like a lot of others say, way too expensive. You could buy a console for the money they want you to spend. The Biggest problem is that it crashes ALL the time. I don't know how anyone plays it on a phone. I had to play it on my laptop. Now, I am playing it on a brand new Chrome Book. After the new update, I can get to the game every other day. Play at your own risk. If you spend money and then your phone won't support it, you will lose twice. Stay Away!!!!

Far too many bottlenecks, artificial item scarcity, bugs, bugs and more bugs. Newly released characters have bugs and rather than fix the issue, the text of the character is altered to reflect how that character functions in game. Therefore buffing a new character that some players have purchased. New character released are very expensive. Then gearing and leveling up that new character unless you spend hundreds of dollars per character you won't be able to gear and use for months.

The game has numerous DAILY bugs that the devs fix if it's to THEIR advantage, but if it's to the player advantage it MAY get fixed in 6 months, if at all. The offers average to $30.55, and is not very free to play friendly. The most recent issue I have had is aix between both. Offers are still available that include items no longer in the game, Ability orbs. Receiving an orb took me 2 weeks to get a response, and still hasn't been resolved I love this game, but do not recommend for new players!

The game devs have everything setup so you try to buy their imaginary expensive offers in their store. You have to pay a lot of money just to have your characters leveled up enough to do anything. Lets add the rng factor which is basically gambling. Scarcity is everywhere gold, training mats, hero shards, and it's not fun. Do yourself a favor and move on to a different Marvel game. If I can give this zero stars I would. I also quit playing (9 mill+). Good luck to anyone trying the game out ????

New updated review. Since the beginning of May 2021, every content released has had major issues. And it gets worse after every patch (every 5 weeks). Characters are sold in a playable state; however, they are flawed. The characters do not execute a great majority of their written text and events are unplayable for a few days. There does not seem to be a "QA" department prior to release, and even Twitch and YouTube strwamers purchase new content and are unable to properly showcase them.

Looks like a great opportunity to play with and create teams with your favorite Marvel characters. It's impossible to progress in this "free to play" game with what Scopley has turned this into. Every few weeks to a month they release a character that is extremely overpowered and throws off the entire balance of the game. They do nothing to address it. Older characters, Avengers/X-men/etc, all need reworks because of these frequent changes and they MIGHT change one or two a year.

I would give it a 5 star but - Real Time Arena sucks as there is no idea how players are matched - you are always pitted against players with whom you will loose.., at the least it should have thresholds that will lead to stronger players as you cross. Also you are forced to spend money if you want to have new characters and some old characters.., no - Play to Get Rewards concept... this is just my feeling.., if these are corrected - i would rate this game a 5 star

Great in the beginning. But do to some characters levels being to much, some characters become obsolete. Some of new characters that come along just take over the whole game even when their levels are significantly lower. I would spent money when the company correct this on going issue that my self and others are asking for. Thanks, Fortier25

Play as a character, evolve it, customize it however you want, and embark on an adventure with a rich history and a vast world. Quests or missions are available to you in which you will develop your hero(s).
