The G Era update has made paying almost mandatory. As someone who played this game for fun in my spare time it is much harder to actively enjoy it. More opportunities to get packs and a means for free to play players to get the new character skins need to be implemented. Maybe the skins could be gotten using the new Story Key mechanic? I don't know. I'm sticking it out in the hopes it gets better but I don't know how long that will last

Wish it was just the classic game. Very nolstagic for the OG game. We never got english DS versions and that PC game was shelved. Love the game but Bushiroad does not prioritize non Japanese fans. G Era has now arrived, and it is frustratingly unbalanced. Gear Chronicle is broken, Stride is broken, Power Creep is broken. Very much considering uninstalling and spend my time elsewhere. Free2Play or older Deck players are at a severe disadvantage. G Set Boxes are not good either.

If you continue this unfair system, you better expect losing players in the process. We understand you need money but we can no longer be silent about this. ■5k Gr crafts. (Too high despite the gacha ticket is being more specific. With the G update came a very clear lack of effort of the dev's part. We used to have fully animated character models we'd unlock, now it's all just static images. Game is riddled with brand new UI errors, weird patterns (ie always damaging a heal first), and just unbalanced gameplay (board control is VERY powerful atm). They changed the pulling system from just a list of available cards to some bs "box" thing that only has 1-2 of each rare card in it, and removed pull rates as well.

For new players that wants to collect all cards from old vanguard series are just impossible right now because they changed the VP rewards other than less old gacha tickets even though it's pointless to pull G set boxes with much tickets and you have to spend months to get G cards that you want. It's weird that the old banners doesn't have set boxes for reset cards it would be better if they did but nope. Every rewards in the game are too low and being P2W is the only way to enjoy the game.

I want to like and play this game.. but every other time I do something.. it force closes and I do mean every other time.. I turn in a gacha coupon works fine.. I then turn in gems for the same gacha.. force closes. I select rank fight, works fine. I select my deck for said rank fight.. force closes. Even if I'm in the middle of a match. It says my a10e is compatible with the game but the way it acts over a regular basis is making me think otherwise and I wasted my time..

I play this everyday and still having a blast with it! Hit A2 with only one deck that I'm rolling to the end so gonna say it here: Go Team Genesis! ... Need to check up on the anime, the story is great as well as the music. Intro is too damn catchy! :)

If you plan on being a F2P player, do not download this garbage game. It will take half a year to craft one RRR card and the grinding on this game will make you uninstall. On PVP, everyone you face will have a perfect deck but you. Triggers will also be in their favor. Oh, and you want special rare skins? Tough, you have to pay for gems and they're not cheap.

I've been playing this game for along time everything was smooth and now suddenly I can't do events anymore every other function works and the Narukami event is coming in soon and I am stressing out becouse when I did the ott event the moment I tried to select a deck it force closes on me and I'm worried this will spread to other events.i have tried reddit and other place to see to find a solution and I have nothing...please fix this

Don't really like the new G update, it kills hoarder really hard by removing universal tickets, so either you hoard much harder than before (around 6+months for 2-3 complete deck?), Or going whale and whaling is not exactly cheap (or even bearable at least), and also it kills anime skin enjoyer by making G characters a paywall which again, is not exactly cheap

Currently they are having a bug, where it doesn't tell you how many copies of a card you have when you click on the card. I also wish they made an option to look at the full picture of the card during card fights, so that the SP art isn't difficult to see and doesn't seem wasted.

Ever since G era started it got worse with needing different packs for different sets making it hard to save for the next set. When the packs changed into the box system there is only 1 copy of a particular G unit in each box which u need 4 copies in most decks to make ur deck decent. Crafting a G unit is basically impossible since u can't grind it in character fights and u will need to open more packs to get those materials where the game gives u little to no packs. Overall this game fell off.

You really need to fix the GR issue. A lot of people (including myself) are on the brink on leaving because this new system has turned Zero into a money hungry game. For example...most G Persona blast cards are locked to GR meaning you need to spend 30k gems to even have a playable card. I understand event clans are F2P friendly...but..good.luck.trying to play that when the app constantly force closes every time you try the event.

While the game has improved since lauch, the recent changes have taken it back several steps, and has made it much less free to play to the point of feeling a little money hungry. More needs to be done about hackers etc. Differences between the paperbased game and this take some getting used to. Overall the game play is fun and engaging.

I like cardfight vanguard but this is a faster version of the game. One thing that I don't like about the game is that it is not f2p friendly no more, yea you can get 1 clan of your choice at the beginning but most people like 2 or more clans. Also sometimes that clan you like is not that strong in meta and you just keep on losing when all you want is legend 20 for those 2 alt arts of your favorite card. It sucks sometimes.

game can improve a bit more. lower gr material or something. fine not like tcg but lotta issues. fix second turn extra draw and more stuff. Too much trigger sacking making game based on luck instead of skill.

So far, it's pretty decent once you get used to the change in rules and deck-Building. The Crafting system is still a little much, but its better now. Looking forward to more positive updates!

I haven't played in awhile but when I decided to I found out I either can't sign into my account using facebook or it has been deleted. Either way that sucks so much. Edit: just found out they took off the face book login option so my account is completely gone

Crafting cards in G era is by far the most ridiculous update like seriously it will take ya forever to craft all of em unless you spend ofcourse a certain amount to pull. P2W u003e F2P now on G Era so disappointed.

Good game. But forcing us to purchase g skin medals in order to do better in the events is not fair nor right. Please fix this and put put different way to earn skins or go back to doing it the same way as you did with the original series please.

What happened GS? Though the game was far from perfect atleast players could make the decks that we wanted to play and save for with universal packs. Now we cant so much as make proper decks because of the new box system and with how expensive GRs are! Your practically killing your F2P fanbase and your practically sucking the fun out of the game. Not to mention the drop in quality with the Homescreen charecters and the fact that a charecter skins cost as much as an OD starter deck! Youve lost it

The rules aren't exactly the same but it's pretty easy to wrap your head around the new mechanics. You start off with a superdeck coin and I recommend going for something using the Narukami clan it's the best IMO

After the GR release, its getting P2W, Gr cost too much, and the Cards gatcha is very low chance to get the rrr u want and the prize in game ia too much, i hope they reduce its prize and GR mats too for f2p players ????????

It's and all but each time you pick what you need to do even changing from home to shop etc. It keeps on connecting which is very time consuming and eat to much internet which render a battle to loss automatic because of it

Vanguard is a fun card game, but falls into those same tropes. "Well this is the main character so the deck he uses needs to be OP", that's the gist of it. At any point only 3-4 decks are relevant, and 80% of the time, it's usually the same ones. I thought with zero it would help them attempt to balance the game, but they did not. Somehow, they made it more unbalanced. Decks that already dominated, only dominate more here. Then, with every new patch, they make it more and more pay to play.

I've played this game every day since the beginning, and I've had a lot of fun with it, especially now in the G Era. However, there's a big problem with its monetization. It used to be very F2P friendly, but now it's very difficult to get good cards, even if you invest money. None of the bundles are worth your money, and crafting GR cards is very hard. I hope that you start listening to the player base, because both the JP and Global servers are getting tired and a lot of people will leave.

Amazing game, ive played it before in the past an d i really liked it. I rate it only a 4 star because of 2 things. 1 ive lost my old account and i cant seem to get it back even though i linked it to my google account. And 2 every 5-10 mins i keep getting kicked off the game. This needs to get sorted out as im loving the game and i dont wanna uninstall it but the way its going i will have to. Please fix it.

The game is good for what it is. Duel Links is a mobile take on Yugioh where the entire size of the game (hand, deck, field) is smaller to facilitate short matches, among miscellaneous balancing changes. Vanguard Zero, however, approaches this by changing the rules of the TCG, so that the game is simpler and involves less user input. It doesn't play like the actual card game, just similarly.

Was great before G era. Now impossible to play more than 1 clan as f2p as unable to save packs anymore and 5k GR mats is insane. (I spend a lot of money on the game, and I'm in support of those that don't). Reducing GR costs to 2-3k or even having the first GR you craft each month be half price would be much better for the game state.

Man where can I start. Without having to be reminiscent, this game is a amazing! Being able to re-live all of my childhood memories with Vanguard is a dream come true. The mechanics in this game is of course quite different to the standard Vanguard series, but it is very to understand. Just started playing this game and the amount of free stuff you can get is INDESCRIBABLE! Man I guess the only down side to this is the Free to play aspect. Loving it so far

Edit: aesthetically, it looks nicer minus the movable 2d models to shop number 2. While 60% of the game is somewhat easy, farming and creating the GR cards make this game P2W as the only way to really enjoy the game is with money. Lower tier or older decks suffer from newly released or top meta decks. G Era packs are also set locked and cannot be transferred to a set further down, a huge downgrade from the f2p method. Avoid if you are looking to play for free.

The new Gacha system solves a lot of problems. Easier access to RRRs, the Mats you acquire are universal and you are guaranteed to pull your desired card eventually. However, the newly introduced GR rarity is the most inaccessible cards have ever been, way harder to get than RRRs ever were. On top of that you need a pair of the G persona cards to even use them, urging you to complete a playset or get left in the dust. This is the first time I felt paygated out of competing in the meta as a f2p.

It has gotten better for f2p somewhat but strides are near unreachable at 5000 stride sphere's. Its fun but its very time consuming to get all the rewards + in the g-era's version you have to pay 30 stamina to refresh the task list u0026 can only do it once a day so they can stop you from being smart to keep getting more stamina. My last gripe is what kind of game charges you $40 for a deck thats not even fully complete (bushi if you want people to spend money make it x4 of everything in that clan).

I have updated my review because as recently when i have played the game, i have noticed how the triggers came out usually, I am surprised out of 5 games i played, 4 of them are stacked for the same outcome, which is the card is not random but indeed stack in the same position, from my previous match, i can even calculate when my triggers will come out as the outcome is predictable, tho i cant predict my opponent's card, but i would know if i lose before even fighting by just drawing cards.

Ever since the yuyu kondo tower event started, this game has started to crash way too often. As of now, even just to search for a single rank fight took me over 1 hour and still couldn't find any opponent and crashes several times during the process. I cant even keep playing this game more than 1 fight, regardless rank, event or friendly. I like the game very much, but with this level of crashes and lags, i dont think it's worth spending time and effort just to play it. It is stressful.
