It's nice to have a great game like this on portrait mode. Most games can be played on portrait mode lack of battle options, like less skills. More like auto game were you can't feel its an rpg that gives a tactical challenge. My problem here is the long loading when I open the app u0026 click "Start" on the title screen. There were the long loading starts till I get into the air ship. Great game. Hope you make more u0026 improve this game better. Make more cute waifus. Good game inspirer.

Another fantastic IP from the past reduced to a shameful gacha mobile game. Anyone reading this - keep in mind this game is already shut down in Japan. I would think twice before blowing your paycheck on this game (or any other mobile casino). It's only a matter of time before they take off with your cash and leave you with nothing to show for it.

I love the series, I love the app. The gameplay translates to mobile so well. The only reason this has such a low rating is the abysmally low drop rates for materials, awakening crystals and evolution stones. Either the required amount needs to change or the drop rate needs to be dramatically higher. It's just... not fun, especially with how high energy costs are for those quests.

A good reboot and refreshing take on a franchise I loved as a kid. The UI and font used can be improved in future updates and I'm looking forward to it. Only con would be the aggressive p2w aspect of the banners and the shop. It wouldn't hurt to build a playerbase of f2p players that would eventually become paying players in the long run than kill the playerbase by driving them off the game. Still an enjoyable game. Just needs a bit of tweaking.

Same as some others said. Game just gets stuck in tutorial on the "reward box" that you can't open. Restarted game, restarted phone, updated app, nothing. Loved PS2 Arc, but this is just a very poorly executed cash grab.

I really like the story and the gameplay but the costs are outrageous. I don't mind spending $$ sometimes (and I have) but you get to a certain point and it's really hard to upgrade characters.

As much as the game gave me good nostalgia with some of the characters, places and bgm, I gotta say I'm really disappointed because the game is clearly a pay to win. I mean most banner are paid banners. I'll have to pass on that. Even more, the premium currency for gacha is just too pricey. I'm really looking forward to it before but now I'm just disappointed. I assume If the gacha and levelling system aren't gonna improve, the game won't last long, unless that's what you're going for dev.

As a fan of Arc the Lad growing up, I was waiting for this since it's JP release. There are some issues, but nothing game breaking or serious. There is some story issues, in terms of grammar and spelling, and some cutscenes are broken, you can't read the last line. This latter bit isn't a common problem however, and you still can understand what is going on. Gameplay is simple, but great. Something I personally loved, some maps are really close to the original. It is worth playing.

The gameplay is good, quite strategic with passives implementation for each characters, deciding what to move next could be quite exciting. And I don't know much about Arc The Lad, all I know is that IP didn't do well in the past. Maybe for some boomers? I don't know. But the 3* is deserved for the game. The publisher, Boltrend? No. Every game they have always push you gacha pulls with paid gems u0026 no pity system. Desperate attempts for funds? Maybe. But at least, advertize you game properly.

I was really loving Arc The Lad R until I encountered several bugs and crashes that returned me back to the main menu form the gacha screen, using my Spirit Stones, but not giving me anything. I seeked support, but the support team is completely useless. I don't know or care who the "engineer" is or what he or she says, at least explain what had happened. It's sad when great games with a few issues have awful assistance.

Updating my below review after more playtime - there's a lot to do! Try not to get overwhelmed. Even 3* units can be upgraded to 5*, meaning drawing a 3* version of the unit you want isn't the end of the world. Still not a fan of the exchange rates (~$4 for a single draw unless you buy one of the bigger bundles) but they do provide a good amount of free currency and overall I'm much more impressed than with my first look. ~~~~~~~ Wow, they went HEAVY on the monetization. 2 icons on the main screen + a revolving banner to purchase premium currency. 12 packages that can only be purchased with premium currency, 16 different bundles of premium currency available for purchase. Draw rates as expected for Gacha, no pity system in place like Romancing Saga. PvP always leads to power creep. Not impressed so far. Will update review with more playtime.

Batttle sytem not the same as old Arc of the Lad series. I'd rather see the specials abilities like cardist in the game. And the game is pretty much the same as how other games are now. Although I play to reminisce the olden memories, but not enough to make me play more in the future. Somehow nostalgic, but won't be long Before I ditch the game. Make me want to play old series on PS One emulator again.

After an hour of slow loading and tutorial for me I got to summon characters. After about 10 minutes of freedom I decided the game was stupid because I already had received 4 different 5 star characters in like 3 summons and received one twice in the same summon. Combat seemed mediocre at best to me but definitely will suit others. Not bad, just not for me

Ok game. Char models look fine. Story seemed fine. Dont know anything about IP though. So no nostalgia. Problems: the "Power System" makes no sense. "Foe lvl 124" beaten with a lvl 40 team, dont understand it? No way to make money outside of weekends and events. And everything costs money. As a tactics fan the whole "jump over everything" in combat irks me and takes out alot of strategy. Game is already shut down in JP. With a 3 year run

I love the game really but there are some major issues about this game that need to be fixed like the fact that it's extremely hard for no reason .. like for example some of these monsters levels are level 75- 100 but we can't even go past 50... u0026 the amont of time it takes to get the awaken Crystals they need to have more events or something that will allow you to loot multiple Crystals at a time also there should be a auto replay as far as farming materials or Crystals or any other items.

Heard it was shutting down in Japan and hope that it stays for a longer time on Global. I genuinely like this game and care about the characters and story a lot. Shame that Arc III apparently got replaced with this. 4 stars for now since it doesn't seem to have enough content or I'm missing something on how to level my characters faster. This'll probably change as I progress through the game.

Auto combat is useless. Manual combat badly needs x2 or x4 speed. Each character have their own unique skill set. It'll take a long time to efficiently use them all or against them. Some characters are OP. Some characters are just plain inferior. Some balancing would be nice. I.e. Elc hits hard with wide range. Can easily wipe the entire team with 1 move.

Its a shame what happened in Japan. Sony is getting more and more obsess with making money than caring for their properties. The game is great! The story is an interesting what if scenario if you played and followed the series. The rewards are generous too. Plus, its confirmed that the main story gonna have an actual ending so thats something that not all sony mobile games got.

Game is decent. -3 stars for devious practices. There is gacha banner with in bold "ONLY ONCE, ONLY 50 STONES" and right below 10 draws guarantees 4 star. Then there is 1 button for paid draw, no 10x draw button for paid. If you roll it, you only get 1 roll instead of 10. The banner makes it seems like it's a special deal, but a normal roll is 50...so what's the ONCE ONLY mean?

This game is somewhat enjoyable but the management could only be described with "could not be bothered attitude". The game have a ranking point system hackers/cheaters benefit from it. And yes, developers know about it and they reward hackers by giving them the rewards while legit players are being ignored to "suck it up". Think twice if you want to spend your time on this game or your money!

So far so good, some of the music is pretty irritating to be quite honest. The main character's name is Halt, really? Couldn't try anything else? Maybe fix/alter the cutscenes cause the shake motion in it is really bad.

I haven't spent a single dollar, been playing since launch and have a full roster of 5 star characters, so the gacha rates aren't horrible. Nice that the draws are 1,000 in-game currency as opposed to others like DQ Tact thst are 3,000 per 10 pull. The foe level system makes no sense, where a lv 50 team dominates lv 150 enemies. My major complaint is material farming for crafting equipment and awakening upgrades. Some of the material costs are absolutely ridiculous. Having fun with it otherwise.

This game is still using the old of the franchise's combat (turn-based strategy) gameplay but with a bit variation. The minus is we can't explore the place like the old Arc The Lad games. So we just stay to follow the story through characters conversation and combat. It might be boring in the future.

As a long standing fan of the arc the lad series I was overwhelmed with nostalgic memories. However this game is pitiful at best. I play several gacha games and have been playing gacha games for years because I love it. But the drop rates are absolute garbage, it takes forever to find uo material, there is no selector summons or even selector tickets...THERE ISNT EVEN A PITY SUMMON! I've already spent $150 dollars to support the game and have nothing at all to show for it. P2W

So far the game running good as expected. But there's a few things required attention. First is the loading animation of some character's skill, some of them seem like delayed or lagged when casting scene came in. Another would the connecting and loading parts, seem like pretty slow for my opinion. Hopefully they will fix it soon.

Currently enjoying my time, i love the details and how the story is structured, only problem so far is experiencing lag in combat at executing any attack, I hope it can be fixed in the future.

This app is amazing. HUGE 'Arc' fan since I imported Arc1 from Japan on PS1! Toshiro Tsuchida involved with development?! This fits right in with Arc 1u00262. Gacha is fair, and I already beat first 3 chapters with Elc, Mizuha, Sania, Tosh u0026 Iga. I appreciate there are multiple ways to move/position chars. Only Died 6(ish) times, so tactics are hard but fair. Looking forward to Von and Shu(?) Great job Devs! Now I need Chapter4!!!

Cannot even get through the first part. Defeat the enemies, scene happens, makes me play the same thing I just played. Over and over. This much trouble right at the beginning? No thanks. Would be 0 stars if I could.

Just like Disgaea RPG, looks pretty but it's a gold digger. Easy to start than a quick pay wall to progress into laughably long grinds for mid game. Dont even want to know what endgame content is like if everything before it was such a slog.

Doesn't load for me - Note 10. It first asks for permission - allowed everything - still won't load. Uninstalled - not worth the trouble shoot. Loved the games for PS2, hoped this would be an interesting concept.

Terrible Gacha Rates for the so called featured character(no Pitty sistem)over 30 x10 on Awakened Wedding Halt unit still dont have him,Daily quests use waaaayyy too much Energy ,no Energy potion rewards anywhere(u have to pay gems to fill energy) daily rewards are trash, you could fix the Energy problem with Ads like MINIMUM 10 ads per day for a complete Energy refill,the Cost to do a x10 is retarded seriously? i have to recharge $80 dollars to do just 1 x10 fk off

For the one who complain about "level between each stage level too far", you can actually beat level 160 stage with team full level 40 For the one who complain about "gold only on weekend", trust me, you get tons of gold just by do normal mission and events

Seems interesting but movements and attacks in the battle screen results in slashes or blobs of color that persist through cutscenes and following battles. The only way I've found to get rid of them is to close the game but that only works untill I start a new battle.

Pretty good, few changes I'd recommend - daily dungeon sections, the level required is WAY TO FAR apart. how u gonna go from 20 to 89 that's 60 LEVELS IM BETWEEN. I understand grinding but most games usually have like a 10 to 20 lvl gap MAX. - Please add faster in battle game speed. it's only fast when in auto otherwise super slow with low framerates and I'm on the S21 - Merge equipment section into player profile. very annoying to swap screens - make shortcut straight to farmable items

Galaxy S10 Note+ After most recent update it no longer appears to want to connect over wifi. At the start it loads to Boltrend logo and freezes there. Turning wifi off works and then can be connect snd used after start up.
