reviews
Typical mobile game with a quick start, too many bottlenecks past the first sprint, and pervasive microtransactions to bleed your wallet past that. I upgraded my warehouse several times because it's one of the worst limitations, only to have the regular upgrade not increase the slots like it said it should. Pointless. At least it has a neat aesthetic... but then again, if you're looking for a Frostpunk experience, just play Frostpunk. Your money will be better spent.

Very inconviniently placed buildings. I get it, game follows the PC design, but with traders running all over the town, it is hard yo tap on a building that you need. And hitbox of traders is huge, I sometimes have to tap up to 4 times until I finally hit the building instead of goddamn trader. And even without traders, buildings are packed very tightly and it is hard to look at the city and tell which building is where

Look how they massacred my boy! Frostpunk is one of my favorite titles on PC. This is an uglier, enshittified Chinese "buy to progress" version of that game. It has the original soundtrack from the PC game, which is a huge plus - the score is absolutely beautiful and slightly sets this one apart from many other timer simulators I suppose. Since the gameplay is different from the PC version, the music loses some of its effect, though. Hop on a desktop computer and play the original instead.

If you liked the PC frostpunk, don't download this. It's a completely different game. This is a City building game. Not a survival game. With that said it's not bad but requires 2 things in my opinion. One it should always ask "if your sure" when your gonna spend gold. I just lost 100+ gold that I've been trying to save for the other factories and I'm very pissed off because of it. Two steam hub should be able to be transported to multiple building, they are a storage place.

Good game, but I would like it more if it was less full of information, like season pass, daily collectibles. When compared to the pc version, this game with these features just makes it ridiculously easy. I liked that they kept some mechanics, like the building schema and the generator, but I would love this game even more if it was a little bit more like the pc version

Best way to describe it is a very immersive city building set on the theme winter and snow. reminds me of whiteout survival but in a different and similar sense too. There are micro transactions but you don't have to pay it's optional and not needed to progress. There could be more interesting things yet to discover . I find the graphics very pleasing to the eye and the city building mechanics interestingly unique and entertaining. However progress slows in the later stages of the gameplay

Typical strategy mobile game The game looks and has many of the mechanics of the PC version, what is nice but is one of that games that progress is tied to time... You will have to wait long times to progress or pay to "play" (progress faster). Also I am not a fan of intrusive popups reminding you that you can buy items with real money or subscribe to their version of a Tierpass. Would be better to pay for the game upfront than this.

Looks similar to the PC version but doesn't play that way.....what is this tornado mechanic that you don't find on the PC version?????? Comes in while your not playing, wrecks your buildings and then you need to repair them.....????. For this you need these items called wrenches, because of course.... And where do you get them you may ask?? Oh easy, for the measley price of a 100 you get 10....and that's it. So yeah, I'm just done. I was looking forward to playing this game for the longest time..

Sooo after playing it a couple times. And as a fan of both the original and sequel on pc. I can say this game is too full of microtransactions. Try to improve stuff cost too much time or ways you need to buy from their damn store. With that said sure it also has some bugs and stuff but eh. Im more annoyed with microtransactions. I rather had paid 10 to 15 bucks for the game with barely to no microtransactions. Ill say just buy the game on pc and dont buy this.

TLDR; Not global-launch ready. + Good graphic, balanced performance, overall feels familiar. Starts good, lots to do, and then that's it. - The end game was not well-thought out. - Lots of fun, important features and game mechanics got chopped off from the original game, making it feels janky at times. 3 out of 5 just feels right.

I'm finding it difficult to enjoy this game, as a fan of the Frostpunk universe. The voice acting at the beginning was a bad start and not enough was done/invested in ensuring the language used for the English version flows (in both dialogue and game instructions). I'm looking for immersion when I play games like this, and the use of language just yanks me out. It's a pity 11 Bit Studios went for a cash grab here, as this tarnishes the reputation of Frostpunk.

This is pretty much what you get for playing a nice steampunk city builder. it's a chill (no pun intended) game dedicated to helping survivors and provide supplies and maintain your resources. if you don't do it properly, others will call you "a failure captain". if you're bored and want to play a cool game in your free time then sure go ahead and give it a try. and btw ALWAYS. GRAB. MORE. COAL

Wow, but actually there are some problems that I hope will be worked on. One of the most important of these problems is the missions. The player should be guided on how to solve the mission when clicking on it. Another thing, I hope to add a new mode that shows the temperature in the city so that we can see the heating in every building in the city easily. Also adding the weather condition would be a great addition. Thank you.

The right concept with the wrong reasons. It's enjoyable but so many freemium stuff slapped at your screen and what makes it worse is the repairs are too expensive. You would have to keep grinding for an hour on coals just to fix the damn damages that is done over night. And wait there's more, it happens every day!

The game is just amazing, I've been looking for a city building game for a while, i came across this one by chance i didn't even see advertisment about it anywhere, after installing it i was hooked immediately for 3 hour straight, the design is outstanding, the idea of a huge furnace or heat generator in the middle surrounded by life is just a fascinating idea, just like the sun surrounded by planets supporting life for the living beings, it's really captivating idea

I've played passed the tutorial. The game looks promising. Same concept as the PC version which I enjoyed, and can't wait for 2 to be released. The game is tweaked to fit with the mobile gaming industry, tap to collect and AFK offline resources, some optional micro transactions; which is not bad imo. Found it better this way for a mobile game. Well done

Amazing!!! I was waiting for the "frostpunk mobile version" for soooooo long! This is great! It really does give you the feeling of the computer version, although it is obviously different but it is the same vibe of the music and the sounds and the graphics are incredible! So far, after playing for a few days... Loving it!!!

Are you a fan of the Frostpunk franchise? Then save yourself the time and embarrassment of playing this. This is not a port of the frostpunk experience to mobile, this is a generic town builder cosplaying as part of the series. It is filled with microtransactions and time gates to make you spend money to play for it and you can clearly tell which art is taken from the original game and which was made for this one, mainly because it's generic AI pretty dolls that completely clash with the art.

Why does every single RTS game on mobile have to go for the live service model? Is it really not possible to build a game on mobile that is not just another money grab?! I have been playing for less then 10min and have already been offered to pay for resources 5 times. Not to mention the price! A few resources cost more then the FULL GAME on PC!!! And the dumb FoE model of waiting real world days and weeks for stuff to be finished in the game, again, unless you pay... Very disappointed...

it's not a whole lot like the game it's based off of don't misread it's not the worst mobile game on the planet it doesn't constantly shove ads in your face (yet) and not a pay to progress nightmare but it abandons a lot of the core mechanics of the original with not a lot of payout Heat is barebones, laws are uninteresting and usually just percentage buff's to approval, the story is lackluster and the challenge is non-existent What your left with is a slow, ok city builder with a snowy backdrop

Pay-to-survive button clicker. Imagine the original Frostpunk but you eventually have to spend money in order to afford materials for essential structures. The "choices" are less about which laws to make or which technology path to take and more about whether or not you want to drop another 1.99 to buy a needed tool that's almost never available outside of the store. Devs, why can't you just sell a normal game? You might not make as much money, but at least you'll have your players' respect.

Way to ruin a terrific game on PC by making it pay to play on mobile. It's pathetic what passes for a good mobile game. Everything you need to upgrade is limited by your warehouse capacity which isn't easy to upgrade since the materials aren't easy to come by without paying for it. Played a few days, probably 10-15 minutes at most after the first day. Because i cannot upgrade my capacity, i cannot make goods to upgrade anything. Exhibit A for ruining a good PC game with greed. :) DO NOT PLAY

Probably the best mobile game I have played this far. It still has some problems like translation errors in the experts back stories or the fact that some materials are stored in the wrong section. But it has fair monetarisation without pressure or pay to win pvp features. The systems are well thought out and there is lots to do. A game with potential. I would give it a 4 out of 5 but since there are so many nonsense reviews that give one star, I will give it a 5 to balance the score.

New game category, pay to survive. Really pushes some of the typical game pain points to the extreme. Inventory space is tiny. The number of things you need keeps growing for approvals, expeditions, and more. Expanding the warehouse takes special items found in the store for real money, but pretty much never show up in the random junk in player trades. Inventory management can be an okay game mechanic if you don't always have to buy it, but even then, it tends to drag the fun out of everything.

It is a fun game for 3-4 months. Visuals are fantastic, lots of staff to do, however, when you hit the last 6 chapters, there is nothing new to build, only upgrades. Also, you get 3 mountain factories but only 2 metal production sources, which is kind of disappointing. The in-game rewards for levelling up end quite quickly. I am higher than 100lvl and get nothing for it.

feels different from the original. Devs replied. Neat. Just to elaborate: it doesn't feel like a survival city building/management game. There is little to no decision making required in building or any other aspect of the game. the gameplay loop makes me feel like a senior citizen waiting for his monthly pension. Just wait for something to become clickable, click then wait again. It's just not fun.

To be honest, as an Early Access game it seems pretty stable. There are points where you can tell the kinks are still being worked out but not too bad. I would say, though, as the game gets better, so should the graphics. You've done a great job porting Frostpunk over to mobile but the graphics are lacking a little bit. Don't be afraid to have options that allow the user to make their game look better. Modern flagship phones can handle it. Also, the name of the app is bugged out.

Unfortunately, this is a generic mobile game with a Frostpunk skin. It's a decently designed game that doesn't feel too pay-to-win, but the core game loop is entirely different from the original. The UI is usable, but honestly the original's UI could have ported over to mobile (or at least a tablet) with almost no modifications. Overall, not a bad game, but disappointing that it isn't Frostpunk.

DONT DO IT. No options, no menu, no volume control, it's a weird button clicker. Sad classical violin in background you can't turn off, change, etc, if you like mindlessly clicking the one button with dialog that pops up, "Collect Coal", etc., while it has weird music go ahead. I don't. And I expected more from Com2us. But not Netease. Honest review. Won't last

A decent game with nice graphics and a storyline. I just fear that game don't get enough updates. First, some glitches that were present during early access are still there, pretty concerning, second, early access players didn't get any advantages even tho they spend money on it and the game took almost a year to come back . I really didn't liked this part. I'm concerned about the development of the game too, the laboratory has only two sections and no updates to be seen so far! Let's see

Overall an enjoyable experience, but there are some tweaks that would be nice. An in-game wiki/list of previous tutorials would be nice; the PC game has this feature but the game is missing the feature or I just can't find it if it does have it. At 742 settlers, the number doesn't seem to increase after upgrading the houses. After reaching "sky castle" the "city planing bureau" building still says I have an unclaimed reward, I might not be able to see said reward, or it just isn't there.

It's a slow paced game. rush at the beginning and it will be quick to put you in your place. However, overall I enjoy it, despite a few things I would like to see improved or better implemented: key items needed for quests or buildings often feel out of reach without buying brass bars, and being able to directly trade with others would be a nice benefit, as the existing marketplace of sorts is...a bit of a crapshoot at best.

I was hoping for something like a PC port to mobile. I read the reviews, knew it wasn't going to be that, and figured I'd give it a shot anyways. I'll say right now, it deviates to much from the original to be worth sinking your teeth into. The mechanics aren't similar enough, graphics are, gameplay not so much. Other issues: bad grammer/poor txt/verbiage; Unable to navigate with Samsung stylus (can click some buttons, but not all); all dialogue has to be closed with a button (cant tap txt box)

The game works pretty well, but the recent game overhaul made everything so complicated. It's a mess of too many resources to manage on a mobile phone, and wants you to pay to play even more now. It was a good game prior to the overhaul, but the bugs, mess of new resources, and reworks have made this an unenjoyable experience. I'm not longer playing this, but I hope it gets better. Back to frostpunk on pc.

Cool mobile port of the PC game. But has a lot of pay to win situations. Yet, you can totally play it without any donations, but will take a lot more time. They literally bend the whole concept of the game into micro transactions. Occasional story pop ups are good, but very small and story is unfinished. 4 stars just because it is very addictive. But after chapter 10 you get stuck in nothing but house upgrades that cost precious iron bars, which takes eternity to collect.

I was so excited when I saw that this game was going mobile, and I am loving the early release. However, there are so many things that have been left out from the original console game. But I can understand some of that My biggest issues are the crashes. Everytime I go into the expedition part, my game crashes. EVERYTIME. Also, can you please give us more ways to earn Brass and rare items. As well as give better rewards for the citizens demands. When you fix these problems I will give 5 stars.

Honestly not a bad adaptation of the PC variation. I do have a few complains. Namely, the market. Why is there only six options to purchase from at a time? It's also entirely possible someone else purchases an item you want right before you do, meaning you won't get the item. A bit annoying, not the end of the world. Construction and research time get very long rather quickly for some builds. A lot less pay to win than I thought, there is microtransactions, bit nothing seems to be paywalled 7/10
