I only wrote this review to point out my favorite tiny detail about this game. The in-game music pauses if my device has music currently playing in other apps like Spotify. I don't even know if this is an intentional, but it is greatly appreciated as I've always been annoyed when games try to play music on top of what music I'm already trying to listen to. Thank you to whoever added this

Love this game! I play it all the time and it keeps me engaged. My only complaint right now is it feels like there was an update that just shredded some stuff. The boost boots have no power, I've had a nice army and someone comes in and just shreds me for no reason. I cannot catch other players anymore and it just feels like my attack/defense stats have been dumbed down.

Been playing since release, came to edit the previously 5* rating due to some big issues with the game. Ultimate barbarian is insanely p2w and strong, not having it will prevent you from winning any games almost completely in squad league. Secondly, the networking issues in the game still have not been fixed somehow. I can have an internet connection capable of playing other games at a ping lower than 30, streaming 2k videos in real time or even 2x speed but somehow, squad busters will still lag

The new update is very bad. Too much monsters and you will get busted easily unless you good some good characters (which you will never get). Also whenever I'm on winning streak despite the difficulties, a pop-up comes (client and server out of bound. Please reload the game) after this pop-up, I need to restart game only to find that I lost the game(either busted or in last place). Ps: I have full network with a min speed of 15mbps.

The game is great for passing time. Unfortunately, the support isn't helpful.I had someone get on my phone and change my username to something political (I don't do politics). I've been getting harassed because of the name and I've asked a few times if there was a way they could change my name back to the original name and they all tell me that they only change names in order to keep the game enjoyable/safe for everyone.. but, for me, it's hard to enjoy/feel safe.

Meh That's really all I can say about this, seen on the brawl stars page. breaking it down here's how it is: Style: credit where due it's good, some characters fit it better than others F2P friendly: more so than it was, but surprising Gameplay: still rather luck based but has improved still suffers, from becoming dull over time. Other: bugs mostly fixed Score 2.6/5 getting somewhere

After years of playing games, I have learned to never write a review within the first 2 months of playing it. I am so glad I waited. At first, this game was enjoyable, until they made so many changes as money grab. Now, monsters that you easily kill, managed to kill guys who has all the gems dropping you out of the top five. Other players are allowed to start the game with two or three characters. Also noticed that all I get is common. I paid money the first time when it was a good game.

Could easily be 5 stars. The game itself is fun except for all the bots. There are 2 types, ones that you can easily tell are not human and can bust, the others will sprint around the map killing you instantly or doing insane damage before you can even react. Don't spend money, it's not worth it.

Updated review 11/08/2024: The game has become worse as time goes by. I have gotten the Server out of synch error a lot over the past week more than the past months that I have played this game. I have lost multiple streaks because of it. I am done with this game. ????

A fast-paced battle with great replayability! Before, it felt quite unfair when the other team gets better characters than you (like if they get Trader and you don't) but they optimized it so that teams in each round has similar characters which makes it more fair and challenging. It can be a bit pay to win if someone keeps topping up to upgrade their squad but again, the matching is quite fair so I don't really feel it much. You can have fun without paying $. Love the new maps and events too!

I love this game, and it would easily be a 4.5 if not for the server connectivity issues. The matches are fairly short and real time. So, getting booted for 30 seconds is pretty major. Especially for a game that relies on streaks to do well. I play other real-time games and don't have this problem. So I know the issue is on their end.

The game is fun. I am torn about the three games in a row before not getting chests anymore. I like that the game doesn't suck me in for hours. Progression is solid and fair. Connectivity issues are keeping me frustrated. I play at home on wifi and frequent he game drops. I have lost a few top 5 finish streaks because I got kicked out then the client gets out of sink or something. My internet is extremely reliable and I don't have this issue on any other device or app. Otherwise fun time sink.

I've been playing this game since it's release and with every update the game becomes less appealing to play. Character upgrades are confusing and take painfully long to complete. Game chest tickets take way too long to replenish as well. Don't bother paying for upgrades and other nonsense they have for sale because they do very little to speed up any of the aforementioned processes. The game concept has potential but the over all execution is lacking.

Way to many bugs and just boring all together. Sometimes during the game mode selection I'll just get a black screen and end up with no modifiers while everyone else gets them, spells don't show when you place them, games are heavily reliant on what characters you have, and getting upgrades takes forever to the point where it's not even fun playing anymore.

Very addictive gameplay. If you think it's pay to win, you're not playing very well. The newest updates really help new players get up to speed fast. You might end up throwing a few dollars on the game if you enjoy it, but nothing unlike any other game you'll play. Playing with friends is challenging, but my hope is that Supercell will get this fixed as well.

The concept is great but many players including myself have been experiencing connection issues. As a result we end up losing our winning streak... This issue has been flagged by many players but it still hasn't been fixed. Please do needful Supercell !!! ???? Unfortunately my new ratings went from 3 ???? to 2 ????...

Great concept but gets repetitive incredibly quick. Chests barely give any reward and the bots attack you when they have an advantage and run away when they have a disadvantage. Edit: Progression feels a lot more noticable, gameplay feels a lot less chaotic and fights now feel a lot more fair. Changing rating to 3 star from 2 star as I still believe the game can become much better. A step in the right direction for sure

I love this game but I have found with the timer countdown mode whatever it is actually called it is broken! In a lobby of 10 people only two people remaining everybody else busted. Brutal. Could use some fixing in this regard but otherwise I love the updates of character customization. Great rewards for progression overall pretty happy.

Don't waste your time on this game. Play Brawl Stars instead, it's so much better. This game is so childish, even the music annoys me. The characters look low quality and off. The gameplay is basic and it has a lot to offer, also oversimplifies everything. Not a good recommendation for people who like simple, chill games.

Fantastic game and I'm absolutely loving the direction the devs are going. But the biggest problem with this game is that if u don't have a Samsung device to play this with, expect literally 10 fps at the end of each game. And I know it's not just me having performance issues... I'm using a Pixel 7 Pro, which is no slouch to gaming performance... This game runs perfectly on most, if not all, Samsung devices.

I've been playing this game since it first launched. It was great! I enjoyed the updates, new characters, levels, and game modes. But now, this new update makes the game less appealing to me. I use to play this game religiously everyday. Now, I barely play it. the game wasn't broken, why did they say it was dead? And even worse, connecting to the game is hit or miss now, and it crashes almost every time I load it...if it loads at all. disappointed.

The new update changed the game more than it needed to. The mechanics of how you play is completely flipped on its butt. i could do the three starting people but spells being removed,the orignal verisons of these characters being removed, having an actual squad, not 5 character "fusions" when in reality its suppose to be two of them on the field. and having a main character is not a bad idea, but if he goes down, he goes down like hero greg. this severly needs to be dialed back to what it was.

Squad Busters was better before they changed to the current game play. the squad captains with abilities are clunky and don't play as well as they did previously, and your squad is decreased faster with individual units. I used to play often but now I don't even want to play. nowhere near as enjoyable as it used to be

From what we thought was going to be one of the most hyped updates, turned out to be the worst update ever in Supercell history! I do think the additions of heroes are a great move and the hero points. Other than that, this game completely sucks now. I can't even finish most games without getting busted. All the characters are so weak and seem useless, even at ultimate form. I give it 2 stars because of the heroes. But I've really had it with this game. Uninstalled!

Love this game! I play it all the time and it keeps me engaged. BUT... this most recent update is, not it. it really has changed total gameplay, souch that it feels like a different game in the same world. not enjoying.

Been playing since release. The 2.0 update is a completely new game, which is closer to brawl stars with fodder running around you than what squad busters originally was. I tried for weeks to enjoy this new format but i just dont. Your squad barely matters, usually its straight up a meat shield for your hero rather than an actual squad. The game isn't about building a squad anymore, its about spamming spells at the right moments which some might enjoy, but this is not why i loved squad busters.

Had to adjust the rating. Here's why: why do we have to wait for 3 HOURS for a chest ticket? 3! For a fight that lasts maybe 5 minutes, if you're lucky. And if you're impatient, like me, it costs 2K in coins for a ticket. I get you're trying to make money, but you already have decent packages available. Please lessen the time for the tickets. I REALLY like the game. It's loads of fun, but it takes 9 hours to fill up 3 tickets. I have a sad face now.

Fun game especially early on you get enough to level up characters but once your characters get to level three we were pretty much stuck or becomes a pay to play game. Recent update to make that a little easier with Star Chests But still makes it really difficult to get a guy leveled up past three stars unless you're paying to play. Been playing since the game came out except for the new update star chest option where they gave you a guaranteed max out character I'm not Even close to 4 stars

So, I absolutely love this game. However, since the new update earlier this year, I have a couple of suggestions. Please put the skins back in the store to purchase using the style tickets. I understand unlocking the heros using the hero points, but their skins should still be able to be purchased in the shop using the style tickets. I personally think it's ridiculous that the only thing you can use the style tickets for now is the emotes. And maybe add some new characters.

it's a really fun game but the fact that it always gives you that damn option to pay some gold coins so you can get all your chests at the end is really annoying and it robs from any fun. it's just so damn annoying having to wait for the screen to go away then to get this stupid little pop up asking me if I want to spend some coin, and the answer is always no fix it

The game has been steadily going down hill ever since the hero update. Sonic and Spike are incredibly unbalanced, the same 5 abilities are the only ones being used, and half of the time the game doesn't even function correctly. I just had a game on the new "arcade" map that shouldn't even be active yet and the Mega Mole boss was invisible and invincible for half of the game. Squad Busters was a decent idea at first but has ZERO of the Supercell polish shown in games like Brawl Stars and COC.

the game overall is fantastic I do disagree with the update that they've done this year it's great and all the only thing I disagree with is the angle of view of your characters and your base pretty much it used to be like a bird's eye view now it's pretty basic front on view and I do think that they should make an update where the gate opens an you're able to decorate different parts of the castle where you are based in the game

Went back to playing this game after the disappointing update in May. Thought I would give it another try with a clear headspace. Never before have I felt as disrespected as I have playing this game now. I put over 100 hours into this game and they completely destroyed everything I loved about it. until they put the gameplay back to where it was I wont be playing. I promise if they do put it back. I will buy 100 dollars worth of the currency just out of pure joy. until then screw supercell.
