I love how much this game lags and crashes, you can have the most up to date phone and it never fails, I could be in the middle of a hunt and it'll crash, but the greatest part is when I beat the monster, and it crashes on the reward screen, the monster will be gone, but so will the rewards. Update: since their recent update for the new season, the lag is atrocious, game crashes endlessly, like most mobile games, they add more pointless features and new "paid rewards" where the quality suffers.

Dodging feels manipulated, monster movements as well. I was enjoying the game for a while, but it is getting more and more predatory in its attempts to net micro transactions. I want to keep playing, but everything is overpriced and designed to push purchases. Hell, I would make purchases if the prices made sense... As is, I am getting closer and closer to uninstalling every time I play. Makes me super mad when I know I dodged an attack and get steamrolled anyway... "wanna buy potions?"

Great game, it's like Pokemon Go, but it's actually more fun, because you don't necessarily have to travel every just to get to one thing. also, I don't have to stop at a dumb place to stock up. my only problem is I think there should be some kind of training area like in the main games, and that it was easier to learn combos.

later level play is absolutely beyond ridiculous. I have been stuck on my weapon for over a *month*, all because it needs FORTY tails for one upgrade. a lvl TWO material that somehow virtually NEVER drops. add in the diluted monster pool, the bloat all the other items do to your item box, which also aren't junk unless you want to be stuck for months again for a different part afterword, and late game is just way more trouble than it's worth. this "grind" is beyond ridiculous Niantic

has been a fun game this past month with smooth game play. It is getting pretty repetitive though and I find myself coming back to it fewer times and farther between. I can NOT cut on adventure sync no matter how many times I try. Also not sure if I just haven't seen it yet but is there an option for friends to be made and perks of having them? Some kind of monster collecting/training, and a way to battle with them? Or is the entire point of this game to kill monsters all day and craft items?

Poor optimization, limited features to craft useable items for hunt (flash bombs, potion, etc), sudden frame drops everywhere, and limited access to private-party multiplayer, where you had to meet up in-real-life due to the region lock which is killing the game at this state, overall it's such a fun game, wish the best luck on further update Edit: Also, some monsters such as Somnacanth, Bazelgeuse and Paolumus has way too much excessive moveset like flying way too far from the players.

The control is awful and combined with no training dummy equals being clueless during the hunt. And naturally microtransactions everywhere since the game is free. One more thing that I hate as an MH veteran, some quests in this game requires you to use specific armor or weapon to progress the quest. Some armor also only available after you craft a certain amount of armors which makes no sense. BTW the moveset and assets are taken mostly from MH World. So there are no wacky armors or weapons.

the game is really good on play, however the only problem is the lagging. it crashed on me a couple of times during some walks u0026 on battle. But I still find it amusing to play but it needs a couple things if I may suggest some. like some odor-based bait to lure monsters u0026 a palamute for tracking certain monsters.

Not everyone is able to travel around to get loot from gather. Gatherable items should be purchasable in the shop with gold or event currency. Drop rate parts from monsters are very bad, not only the monster rarely appear, the rating is/are extremely terrible. Spawns of large monsters barely accessible, available or in range. Need to make the range to loot/fight larger, instead of just potion u0026 meat, should provide other daily items.

Relatively fun, graphically-intense game that fast becomes a soulless grind for materials. Can be enjoyed without paying any $$ for the most part. However, the micro transactions are overpriced trash. $20 for a season pass? No way dude. Also you only get 5 health potions a day, a supply that disappears quickly. Of course you can pay $$ to buy more but then you've turned a FTP game into a Pay to Play game. Even in PoGo, if you ran outta Pokeballs, you could spin a few Pokestops and play some more

I have nothing wrong with the game entirely, but this game is basically pay to win. You get 5 potions a day, but the rest of them, you have to pay 2 dollars for more potions just to continue the hunt, and that annoys me very much. Here's an idea: Why not make it so you can get potion and stuff like that from doing objects and urgent Quests instead of having to get potion, paintball, or tears/ orbs of wander.

Extremely laggy during fights and even the over view as well. Crashes every 3 large monster battles and even on lowest settings has way to much detail and environment clutter for a low setting that doesn't change much except via making the environment clutter slightly see through. This is a new phone and can take a lot but idk what about the app makes it so it's unable to play this and crash so much, all the while causing my phone to overheat within 2 min of using it unlike with other apps.

Unlike Niantic's other games, there is no way to earn premium currency for free in this game. With that in mind: storage spacecosts real money. Potions cost real money. Cosmetics cost real money. Crafting materials cost real money. Cosmetics cost real money. The ability to hunt monsters that aren't within spitting distance costs real money. And every one of those things is consumable, designed to make you pay over and over. The combat is okay.

It's fun when you can actually play it.... Constantly kicks and crashes. must be near people/friends in order to invite them to hunt or party unless you can send them a Pic of a QR code You literally can't do anything if you are in a moving vehicle... Drains battery life like a vampire that was starved for 13 millenias Sometimes, it takes 3 times longer to load, then pokemon go And again, you can do absolutely NOTHING if you are detected moving to fast, not even grabing resources

I played Ingress for a while and stopped when Pokémon Go came out. Been playing POGO on and off for years and still do more frequently cus of PVP. Got into MH Now few days ago. Quickly hit a paywall I never experienced with the other games. I have no potions. I literally can't do the basic function of the game without any potions. At least with pokeballs, you can always spin some stops or send/receive free gifts and keep going. It all seems to be paywalled in MH Now and less incentive to play.

The absolute worst part is how it lacks any of the basic monster hunter tools like a training/testing area. Drop and spawn rates are so incredibly bad, that even if you travel miles hunting you will have infinite base currency and no ability to spend it. The sensor to keep from driving and playing is so sensitive, I trigger it walking down the road. Months and updates later is still garbage. Prices in store are outrageous. Latest update changed music and it's GARBAGE.

Devs said strictly multiplayer. Serious drop rate and difficulty balancing the game if you are playing with a group it has almost nothing for solo players as the whole game relies on it but locks progress to solo advancement. Why ruin it for solo play and then expect us to have to do things alone to progress? No word on drop rate fixing and only added more chances for materials if playing with more people. Pay wall to fix drop rates and progress. Poor reward for your time. Plays since launch

I really enjoy the combat and the buld crafting. however the potion system is extremely poorly designed. you get 5 a day, if a monster hits you, you die and need to use a potion to revive. if you run out you need to BUY more with real money. and they're expensive. your health regenerates 1 every 30-60s. and you need 30hp to fight monsters. so you need to basically quit the game once you run out. or buy more. you need to add a way to get more without spending. it's a complete buzzkill.

Hardcore player since PS2 MH era. Everything look great. Just 2 things i had in mind. Please let we skip monster death animaton and hunt report. I dont want to stand in a middle of nowhere under hot sun waiting for it. The game keep closing if you switch to other apps even for 1 second, I already put unrestricted background power and internet setting still the same.

just came back after a long time away from the game. I had so many problems with it that I just couldn't keep playing it and now, they're all fixed. There is now multiplayer that I can access and the rewards from said multiplayer helps to ease the grind that is soul crushing otherwise. You had to fix the game and by gog you've done it.

The actual monster hunting combat is super fun, but all the little micro transactions that were snuck in really ruin the fun. The biggest one for me is the item box filling up almost constantly when you are at higher ranks. I get needing to make a profit off of this game, but the item box thing just sucks any life or fun that I could be having out of the game. I also wish that you could seek out ANY monster that you've hunted before with the paintballs, not just whatever is in rotation

Very fun game. Love everything about it aside from how cash-grabby it can be. The potions are limited so you can't play very often unless you pay money to get 10 free potions a day. If they made the potions cost Zenny instead then the game would be much more fun. Overall it's an amazing game you won't want to put down, but you'll have to if you wish to save your money.

Pro: Visuals, monsters and weapon design are great. Frequent high quality updates. No ads Cons: Monetization is all over the show. No way to earn premium currency, and levels are pointless after the first dozen or so. Time limit for hunts is tiny and combat controls are a little too basic at times. The game itself still doesn't run very well in bigger fights and netcode is still pretty abysmal in places.

I am unsure why we can't use this as a passenger in the car which was when I often turned on the app. Passenger mode just turns off all useful functions, and sometimes even activates when I am standing perfectly still. You occasionally get a warning to stand aside and stop to play. It also requires a good connection, so I am unsure where the best environment is for playing this. The worst part is my main isn't in this: Insect Glaive. So very unfortunate.

Love the game and got me more active. So much fun. But there are a lot of UX improvements needed. No. I do not want to see the reward animation for 200th time. No I do not want to jump through hoops to figure out what weapon or armor I want to choose. The gear menu experience is bad. You even have to go back and forth all the time to buy missing materials. Painful. After two years these things should have been improved to perfection. Looking for a new Product Owner role? ??

If you love games that lag all the time, look no further! This is the game for you! Do you like random crashes and games that don't register your inputs? Monster Hunter Now is your game! Why play games with crisp responses and no lag? That's easy mode! If you can win while your phone is overheating and your commands aren't registering, you must be a real gamer. Seriously, just avoid this game. Since the 2 year anniversary update, the game just runs like garbage. Niantic can't run a game.

Fun and engaging. Great accessible entry to the monster hunter series for fans or people who struggle with the level of difficulty the main games might provide. However, there is much to be desired. the cash shop is atrociously expensive and the main draw back is the lack of accessibility through potion withhold. which limits the amount of time you can play in a day. granted your HP will Regen over time. If the potion prices were much cheaper I'm sure it would encourage more ppl to spend.

The gameplay is fun and really does a good job with combos on weapons from mainline games. The biggest issue for me is not being able to craft POTIONS. Literally the first item to be able to craft with one single ingredient in the mainline series, and they put it behind a huuuuuge pay wall. Due to that fact alone, it's a huge disappointment. There's no crafting for healing/buff items. *Edit: 9/22/25 still no update adding any type of crafting system for healing/buff items.

UPDATE: still bad It begins to ramp up in difficulty very quickly once you get to 5-star monsters. They will pretty much one-shot you even at the recommended defense requirements. Getting only 5 potions a day, and if you want more, they're behind a pay wall. The ability to craft weapons is expensive as well. For example, if you made and used most of the bowgun weapons and decided to switch to a different weapon type, it's like starting at ground zero for farming all the materials again.

Poor netcode causes missed inputs during almost every group hunt, even with a powerful device on wifi. The game is playable without spending money, but you'll have to grind hard to access end game content. They finally introduced a much needed feature: the ability to save monsters you passed by for later, allowing you to exercise uninterrupted and then play in a safe place. It still needs to be more cycling friendly, a better driftsmelting system, automated inventory management, and much more.
