happy diner story : cooking

it's a very cool game, but it's hard to make enough coins to upgrade items without spending real money. I don't mind spending real money here and there, but it should be attainable without it. playing the challenge levels doesn't earn you extra coins which is frustrating because if I spend the coins there, I can't spend them in the next restaurant but in order to move forward I need more coins which I can't get enough without... yes, spending real life money. needs a better ballance.

It really is a fun game. Until you get to the point where you are having to pay to continue playing. EDIT: challenging, yes and that's great. Some levels are a no brainer and easy. However, I have spent days on certain levels, avoiding buying diamonds and burnt through lives to earn a laughable amount of coin to attempt an upgrade without purchasing any diamonds or coins myself.

it tries to be too many different games in one and the side games have nothing to do with the main game. the pictures shown on the store page looks nothing like the actual game, it's more of a Diner Dash type game that is made basically impossible to beat a level after a point unless you spend money or too much of your time on ads to get money to upgrade. Edit: while yes levels are made to be "challenging" as you say, they are not supposed to be impossible, especially the not "hard level" ones

I would have rated this game much higher, but for the extremely frustrating upgrade system in place. Please devs, get RID of the need to constantly upgrade the chefs! You spend coins upgrading them, then two levels later the chefs are back to rock bottom again as the game level goes up. The result is that it is impossible to collect enough coins to upgrade the kitchen equipment etc, and none of the upgrades have a lasting effect. Soooooooo annoying, and makes the whole thing seem pointless.

One thing I love so much about this game is I don't think there's any ads or very little that I haven't noticed. The game is too easy though so it's good for little kids. My favorite thing about it though is the mini game in the game you can unlock every 2 or so levels. If they want to target older people I would make the game difficulty progress faster

The game was fun.. At first. Until I had to get to the point where I had to memorize every single order properly to cut time and make it to the minimun of the level, and still not make it. This happened at just half of the levels of the second location. The game has become frustratingly difficult too early and I feel like the game is forcing me to have to buy in game purchases to even win because even those that require you to watch ads won't be enough. I've lost the will to play this now.

COMPLETE MONEY GRAB sure the game is free, and they'll make sure to preach that to you in every ad. but the reward for completing levels isn't enough to upgrade the areas the game shoves down your throat. plus every 5 seconds there's a pop up with an event they're running which you either need to pay for or have to win consecutive levels in a row for, WHICH IS IMPOSSIBLE when you have to repeat levels multiple times for one upgrade. the game is nothing like the pics above. false advertising woo!

this is basically a reskin of that hospital dash style game that was popular for awhile, it even has the colors to indicate different doctors (chefs in this game). gameplay concepts are similar as well, you tap to get the item, tap to deliver, and eventually hit a point where you struggle to progress without paying money. You don't really cook in this game, it's more a waitress/server simulator

its very easy to play just when you started playing. But then, after a few levels, it progressively started to get unrealistically difficult that it's hard to level up. It's good that the game's difficulty kept increasing, but it should also match the game's ability to earn money to be able to upgrade the kitchen without paying money, just like ehat you kept on replying on the comments?its completely FREE.

Got the game because of the advertisements showing gameplay that looked more like a cooking game, putting ingredients together, etc. But the actual gameplay is as a waitress serving orders, not cooking at all. There's a small side game that's similar to what was advertised, but there are so few levels that it shouldn't be the main thing advertised. Even the pictures here on Google Play are false advertising. Uninstalled after like 10 minutes.

Just like other reviews have stated, once you get to a certain point in the game, the levels become unbeatable without purchasing coins with real money to upgrade your equipment. Not exactly a free to play game if you can't progress further without paying. The gameplay isn't bad, but I am not interested in having to spend money to progress further and then having to spend more money down the line to progress when the difficulty exceeds your equipment levels making it impossible to complete.

I loved this game, but there was a promotion for the second restaurant in the beach setting where they kind of cheaped out! it said to pass about 8 levels to win a grand prize of 20,000 in-game coins, amazing! I thought... then I hustled...and I got to the end....then all of a sudden I see "shared with other players" and the total was only about 1,500 coins?!?!? HOW COULD YOUUU :( and the chefs somehow reverse their levels after you use in game coins for the upgrade? Delete after the 1st diner..

Nothing like the ads. The game was fun until it stopped working - currently unable to open the app. When its working, its perfect for the people who like pop ups and ads, you get about 8 pop ups and at least 1 ad in-between levels. You basically direct a waitress to fulfil customer orders, not like the ads or pics above.

the game starts out very fun and competitive..the you hit the pay wall. it's becomes nearly impossible without wither drowning in a sea of ads or being harassed for money to pass the level. I've gotten to a point where I can't beat it without exhausting all power ups even after learning to optomize everything. Uninstalled after 3 days.

I love this game. When I'm not playing it I wish I was. It's crazy addictive and enjoyable. I gave it 3 stars because upon starting the app or passing a level, you're inundated with prompts to pay for add-ons, play mini-games or watch ads. To remove ads you have to pay TEN DOLLARS A MONTH or FIFTY DOLLARS for unlimited no ads. If I had that much money to spend on phone games I wouldn't be playing phone games, to be completely honest. RIP simple, free phone games ?

The game in itself is great, but it's purposely made that after some time you are unable to pass levels if you do not pay real money for extra coins or diamonds. And even when you do pay real money, after some time, you need to pay again. Because you start a different restaurant and have to buy upgrades all over again... Which is unfortunate, because I honestly love this game. But the pay-to-win aspect made me uninstall after playing hundreds of levels. When downloading, keep this in mind.

It's a fun game to play but pretty fast a level becomes 'too hard' and there is no way of replying a level to earn more coins making it pretty hard to get more coins to upgrade other than what is behind a, in my honest opinion, ridiculous paywall. If it was possible to repeat levels to earn more coins to continue upgrading and be able to play the next levels would be very nice. Also to add on for others, it's not possible to properly upgrade everything unless you spend money.

fun the first day or so. After that, they make it almost impossible to pass levels and the upgrades cost ridiculous amounts of money. so its not even fun when you have to play 20 levels just to upgrade one item one time. I spent 100 dollars in a couple days and it still was only enough for a handful of upgrades. like the game so really wish they made it more fun to play.

Immersion as close as possible to realism in a game that takes up the basics and / or codes of real situations in order to make you experience them in the virtual environment.
