The gameplay isn't bad, but it's clear that they've decided to focus on finding more ways to get people to spend rather than creating an enjoyable experience. Especially when we have previous versions to compare to, the global version is way stingier, consistently giving less rewards and increasing prices. Unless SEGA puts out a statement to at least commit to reward parity with the Chinese server, I can't recommend playing this game. At the very least, definitely don't spend on it.

Besides being buggy (playing on Note25 Ultra), the Persona series just doesn't translate well to being a mobile game. The series has always been big on story. But when I have a 30 min commute to work. I cant enjoy it because it has too many stretches of dialogue dumps. Where you are doing nothing. Which works for console gaming. Not so much for mobile. The biggest problem is, it is just another gatcha game, just with a persona skin. Nothing new. Nothing original. Nothing unique.

I play on my tablet and on steam. It's a fun game and I genuinely enjoy it, but Sega is making choices that make things less fair between servers. The translation is definitely rushed too. Not to mention moving around on mobile is clunky - I save all palace/mementos exploration for PC where I know the controls are more reliable... I really hope this game doesn't die within a year, but it seems like it will at this rate. ?

1st off, the game is NOT optimized for mobile at launch. A lot of stuff just doesn't render in, and combat is sluggish. I play on s24 fe, so it should be able to run. other than that, the story is the only thing that feels Persona like. how persona, chars, and spending time are all reworked to gatcha format, to me, just doesn't feel right.

The game itself is okay, managed to capture the mainline Persona games elements pretty well. There are translation issues though, and it is badly optimized for mobile (even on lowest settings on a last year flagship device). The most glaring issue is that the global server is getting the short end of the stick in comparison to CN/TW/KR servers and the latest livestream only made it worse (characters being added to the standard pool late, rewards nerfed/backloaded etc.). Rating 1* until fixed.

Okay on PC; unplayable on Mobile. Controls are clunky, controller causes load lag for some reason. Predatory monetisation even compared to other gacha games. There's no excuse for treating servers differently, except they wouldn't get away with this in China/Taiwan/Korea. Overly repetitive dungeon puzzles to pad play time because there's not enough meaningful content to play between story updates.

The game has limited characters and weapons in the Contract banners and they don't add them in the standard Contract banner, they are gone forever and it is hard to progress in the game and win the harder battles if you don't get all characters and weapons in the game, especially the limited characters and weapons, even worse when you can't raise the awareness level and forge level of the limited characters and weapons since getting just 1 of them it's hard enough.

I usually don't leave bad reviews. However, the game is barely playable with its painfully slow loading screens and freezing when entering and exiting battles. My handheld gaming device (Odin2 Portal Pro) has 12 GB ram, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor u0026 handles more resource intensive games just fine. It's crazy for a turn based game to perform so poorly in comparison. In controller mode pressing the start button keeps trying to switch to mouse/keyboard mode when there's no PC in sight ugh!

The game has great visuals but the UI and controls are pretty awful. Some puzzles involve avoiding hazards, which is near impossible with the touchscreen joystick. The gameplay feels tedious and repetitive. It isn't very fun with frequent loading screens and difficult to navigate menus. I don't see myself playing this long term...

Kinda new to the Persona series, but I figured i'd give this one a go. Game is great fun in itself but I have a couple issues with it. When using a controller, the menu button doesn't do anything and instead switches to a mouse and keyboard mode, even though prompts for the menu button show up for certain functions. I also have loading issues after playing for a while, no idea if it's like a memory leak, but the loading times get obsurd.

The gameplay is solid and feels very much like Persona on mobile. Nevertheless, it is a gacha game at its core, although baseline characters will still get you through the core content. There was initially some concern about non-player friendly changes and a lack of communication from the publishers, but they have put forward a solid plan to address those concerns and turn things around.

This game has been very good so far. It feels like a persona game, which is good. The gacha system is not predatory, and plenty of currency is given for free, plus its not even really a necessary feature to use so don't let the fact that it's a gacha game turn you away from playing it. the graphics are nice and it runs very well. So far the story has been good and the characters are interesting. The only thing I would say bad is that some of the animations look a little stiff. Very good overall.

If I am hitting 'skip all', it means I want no cut-scenes. the fact I have to hit it so many times, is really annoying. I understand if its for important story beats, which you have removed the button on, but if I am having to hit that button five times in a row (or more) just to play for a few seconds, than have to do it again, that's utterly ridiculous.

Almost everything to love about Persona is totally absent here. 90% of the game is dialogue, which is a shame, since most of it is to bloat the run time and doesn't contribute to the plot or character development. The gacha elements don't really work with the Persona formula, either; party members just feel like stat sheets as opposed to people you form bonds with and relate to. P5X is nothing more than a half-baked gacha JRPG that copied most of its assets from a better game. End of story.

I really do like the game but there are a few issues. It's a gacha game while carrying underwhelming updates compared to China. Having store ads hit your screen first before anything is a bit annoying. UI is a bit clunky and currency system is confusing. Other than that. Good characters, great music. I hope to see this game do better soon.

As a Persona fan, I was very excited to give this a try when they announced the global release. It's pretty fun to play, I love the parallel connection w/ P5's universe. However, some of the game mechanics are difficult to get used to (mainly when playing via mobile), the gacha rate is pretty poor, the progress system felt very slow, u0026 the lag is frustrating. I'm pretty disappointed in the end u0026 ended up switching to playing via PC for a better-ish experience. 3/5--highest. :/

This game is really fun, but the gacha is way too predatory. The rates for five star (good) characters are way too low, and most of your Meta Jewels, Platinum Tickets, and Gold Tickets go towards useless personas. The resources should be given out way more frequently, and even when you want to buy them you barely get anything for your money. There are so many characters, but if you can't even get them, then what's the point?

As the other reviews stated, they really want you to spend money. Theres so many rewards that you get but can only use to buy very specific items, and it gets confusing and complicated. The combat is also more complicated than Persona 5 Royal, and it's a bit different from the persona games I've played (P3P, P4G, P5R). You're better off just playing P5R. Despite all of that, I find this game to be pretty fun. I like the character designs, they are very interesting.

I wanted to love this game. However, it suffers from too many of those gacha elements that just bug me. There's way too many currencies to collect or keep track of. There's way too many features or tasks tucked in different corners of the game to collect or check every day. There's way too many game modes that all feel the same. The thing that bugs me most is that the game has only been out for 2 weeks and they're already dropping new characters. It's all about pushing content, it's exhausting.

As enjoyable as this game might be, the experience is completely soured by the changes made for the global release. Overall, the game is employing a number of tactics, such as reduced rewards and short-term pop-up "deals" (that're way too expensive), that pressure players to spend as much as possible. I'd recommend people avoid playing until the devs start managing global similarly to the other versions.
