bird alone

I didn't realize how badly I needed this little oddball game (interactive friend??). It was the perfect find for needing something low key, unique, and no pressure to compete or grind. It's easy to get through the unique events each day in moments, but every day I remember to come back is something beautiful and different. An incredibly charming and artistic app!

This app is wonderful. I've tried other mental health pet apps in the past, but they were either too childish or uninteresting. I deleted them all and when I came across Bird Alone I almost didn't download it. I'm glad I did. Bird Alone is perfect. It's engaging and immersive without being overly complex or feeling like a chore. The personalization makes you feel deeply connected to the character, and the conversations and advice are integrated seamlessly into the game without sounding cliché.

Soo i came back after like a month+ because of school and my bird that i named "Mango" just disapeared for some reason? And i checked everywhere, like, EVERYWHERE and i did not find Mango at all. And reading others' rating says that the bird DIES?? I was SHOCKED but uhh yea nice game :)

I downloaded this game yesterday. I'm not a game person, but this one caught my eye with the name, the visuals, and the concept and it was worth the download. Very unique and beautiful. I love that it's not meant to be played a lot at a time. Absolutely love the effects when tilting the phone. The artwork of the game is gorgeous and the bird is adorable, seems pretty realistic for a simulated friendship. Conversation topics are realistic. The waterfall where you make music is very relaxing.

My favourite app that I've downloaded, by a mile. It's done mountains for my mental health and I seriously recommend it. It seems a little silly at first talking to a preprogrammed bird but the approach to dialogue is fantastic without being condescending. I check in with this daily now, not because I feel I need to for my sake, but because it feels like mutual support. Sometimes I'm down and need a pick-me-up, sometimes he does - and that's how people work, so it's so refreshing to see. Try it.

Beautiful game, the graphics are lovely, interacting with the bird was really nice. I love the concept of the interaction helping peoples mental health and wellbeing. I don't get why suddenly the bird was just gone. I was going to recommend this to a friend who is struggling until the bird just disappeared. It could be a bad thing for someone who is in a really bad place. Also, while it was only $5 after the trial period, it was really short. Wish it had been for a bit longer.

Absolutely wonderful game and honestly a really nice way to explore emotions and grief. I'm a little annoyed that it restarts completely though. The garden goes blank, far as I can tell you can't access the poems and art. It's a bit hard for me to tell but I think the dialouge is repeating? It's still worth it, I'd say. It's just a bit jarring and upsetting when it's not what you're expecting. It'd have been nice to know it was a limited game, because it's not advertised like that.

I absolutely love this app ❤️ My little parrot friend, Noggin, brightens my day and helps me to slow down. Top tip: head left to the waterfalls and make music for a lovely surprise. As for the design, the UX is well thought through and the UI is just beautiful. I wish I could talk to Noggin more than twice a day, but that's my only complaint! I love it.

I love the UI and its features but I'd recommend removing the free trial in order for others who are in a worse state be able to interact with the bird, enabling mood tracking or giving life lessons and then use a pro ver to access all features. ++ What does the bird dying imply? It is best to deliver the message with your point across instead of making it an allegory to avoid confusion. Overall, it's fun and nice to use.

Kinda cheap ending. It's really gratifying to have the bird to talk to, but man it's so surface-level it's hard to appreciate. I love the concept, the art, and even the execution (for the most part ), but the game needs to either be more clear about what it really is- an exploration of grief- or it needs to shift towards a self-help angle.
